Course description

An anxious guest is rarely reassured by the words "don't worry". What settles uncertainty is a calm colleague, accurate information, clear next steps and an update that arrives exactly when promised. This course, built from the Dyafa Hotels & Resorts training deck, shows front-line teams how to give guests a real reason to feel reassured.

You will learn to notice the signals of anxiety without diagnosing anyone, to ask respectful questions that uncover the real concern, and to apply the five-step response: stay calm, listen, clarify, act and follow up.

The final chapter applies the method to everyday situations such as a delayed airport transfer, a room that is not ready, a billing concern and a health request, and explains when a situation must be escalated immediately.

Frequently asked question

Not on its own. Give a clear reason for reassurance: what will happen now, the options available and when you will update the guest.

Do not diagnose or offer medication. Follow the first-aid or medical support procedure, and escalate immediately for breathing difficulty, fainting or severe pain.

Avoid "I don't know, just wait". Explain who is following it up, give a time for the next update and stay the guest's point of contact.
